We did some grocery shopping before Toyah went to the Marlowe to get ready for today's 2 shows. I took the opportunity to buy new jeans before dropping in to see the Horse between shows: her cold has deepened into Devil Bug. The cast & theatre staff have been dropping with DB. Toyah's flier (the character who operates her wire to whiz Peter Pan around the auditorium) collapsed for this afternoon's show, so a new flier did his best. This included banging her head on the ceiling and suspending her feet just above the stage, but not quite enough to stand (you don't get much closer than that).
Rain. Rain. Today the weather held until around 16.45 and then the rain returned. And now it's pouring. This was a fortunate day, then, for the hordes of shoppers pouring into Canterbury for the sales. Next opened at 06.00.
My evening here in the digs has been compiling RF diary entries for 1999. Piles of mechanical work. I am still unable to get e-access. But now off to collect Toyah and bring her home.
